  Why Study Music?
Music makes you smarter! Sure, practicing sometimes feels like a lot of hard work, but there is no denying playing an instrument is tremendous fun! Plus kids learn self-discipline, good study habits and organizational skills.
  • Our goal is to instill a love of music that will last a lifetime!
  • Students gain performance experience in our bi-monthly "mini recitals" as well as our "Candy Cane Christmas Concert" and year-end recital.

The Etobicoke Conservatory of Music offers private instruction in the following instruments:

• Piano • Voice
• Saxophone • Violin
• Clarinet • Flute
• Bass (accoustic & electric) • Guitar (accoustic & electric)
  • Trumpet   • Theory

Students who study an instrument privately will flourish when learning through a conservatory. Children have the advantage of learning in the company of other students just like them. They are inspired by their peers and have opportunities to perform and study in a professional setting.

Teachers at ECM are committed to quality music education and connecting with kids. The Etobicoke Conservatory of Music – “where learning is fun!”

"For the last 4 years, my two eldest boys and I have been taking lessons at the Etobicoke Conservatory of Music, and my youngest son just started last year. It has been everything I had hoped for!  Each of the boys has progressed really well due to the quality of the teachers at ECM. Not only have they progressed, but they really enjoy going to class! The fact that they enjoy it so much makes practice time at home something they want to do. They have developed a love of music and the experience at ECM has helped them excel in their music classes at school. As for me, I have a demanding career and three active boys.  I have always dreamed of playing piano and Arlene has made it possible to work towards that dream. She has worked around my schedule to accommodate changes, when necessary, encouraging me to stick with it when times are crazy.  With her support, I have progressed and can now sit down and play simple pieces with very few mistakes! Thanks for making the gift of music a reality for us!"
